A low-level solution for rooms where ceiling installation is difficult. We evaluate mounting position, furniture, discharge behaviour and maintenance access as one arrangement.

Technical reference
- Family: CTHXEV…HHX — Console indoor-unit range
- Nominal cooling: 1.5–5.0 kW — Model-specific capacity
- Casing: 630 × 700 × 225 mm — Height × width × depth
- Installation choices: Wall or floor mounting — Side, bottom or rear pipe connections
Low-level placement needs clear airflow
A console sits near furniture and daily circulation. We check that sofas, desks, curtains or joinery will not restrict the outlet or intake. The unit’s dimensions must be considered alongside clearances and a usable maintenance route. A convenient empty corner may not produce the required air distribution across the room.
Outlet behaviour depends on the operating mode
The console’s top and bottom outlet behaviour is mode-dependent. We select the equipment and controls for the intended heating and cooling use rather than assume both outlets behave identically in every condition. Seating position and room temperature distribution are part of that decision.
Treat the console as its own family
This CTHXEV…HHX console range is distinct from the separate floor/ceiling family. A console installation is also different from hydronic underfloor heating: its heat is delivered by air rather than a water-based floor circuit. We compare each solution around the room’s requirements and available services.
Coordinate connections and routine care
Side, bottom and rear connections provide routing options, but insulated refrigerant pipes and condensate drainage still need a suitable path. We protect access to filters and service connections and check the selected model’s compatible controls. Where a room requires outdoor air, we design that ventilation separately.
Our selection checklist
- Keep furniture clear of intake and discharge
- Confirm mounting, pipe entry and condensate route
- Check mode-dependent air distribution and control compatibility
Frequently asked questions
Can I substitute any floor/ceiling unit for this console?
The console is a separate family with its own mounting and airflow arrangements. The full model must be checked before substitution.
Is console heating the same as underfloor heating?
No. A console conditions air at the room. Hydronic underfloor heating distributes heat through a water circuit in the floor and requires a different system design.
